Kurabesi actively engages with communities with Bentara Papua. Our shared aim is to ensure real benefits for local peoples. We are committed to introducing sustainable tourism to remote areas of eastern Indonesia as a means to providing a sustainable, direct benefit to the local community.
We encourage and support local basket weaving, outreach to local schools, as well as showcasing delightful traditional dance performances that help to link culture with sustainable development.

Should you wish to get hands-on and involved in some of these social outreach activities, feel free to participate in our “Pack A Smile” Program.
Simply contact us before your trip for a list of needed items, which generally include simple things such as books, school and art supplies, sports equipment, snorkeling gear, clothing, medicine etc.
You can bring these items with you when you come on board and while on location we will bring you to meet the school or community you can share your smiles with!
